about

Stirring harp performed by my friend, Kate Krogh.

lyrics

To be like Jesus, to walk in His steps,
To have His spirit of gentleness,
To be forgiving, humble & true,
Living like Jesus,
In all that I do!

When He was beaten, rejected & cursed, “Father, forgive them!”
Were His only words,
Like a lamb to the slaughter, silent He remained,
Bearing our reproach, suffering our shame!!
Chorus:
He was meek & mild.
The King of Kings became a child
So He could serve the lost & weak,
And He said “Blessed are the meek!”

Bridge:
O, the meek are not weak, they are fearless & strong,
Defending the right & righting the wrong;
But when the meek are exhorted, they never take offense, but humbly consider the wounds of a friend.

And they shall inherit, inherit the earth;
For only the meek understand the true worth
of the Kingdom of our Lord, His crown & His cross, and they seek first His Kingdom, counting all else but loss!
Chorus: Oh, He was meek & mild….
