Margaret I have listened to Judy Rodgers since I was a child and now I listen to her music with my own children. Her lyrics are always such a blessing and so timely, since they are based in God’s Word which never grows old. This album has been particularly encouraging to us lately and I love having these lyrics and tunes stuck in my head all day!

In God We Trust We have heard with our ears and our fathers have told us. Oh, Lord what you did in their days long ago; You drove out the nations and planted our fathers, Crushed all the foes and made our fathers grow. And it was not by the sword that they won the land… It was not strong arms that made them stand. Your right hand gave them land… Your strong arm kept them from harm… And the light of your face and your life-giving grace. For you loved them Yes, you loved them…In God they did trust! You are our God and our King who decrees all our victories! Through you we push and we push till we push back our enemies And it's not by the sword that we'll win the land… It's not strong arms that make us stand… Your right hand gives us the land! And your strong arm keeps us from harm! And the light of your face and your life-giving grace. For you love us Yes! You love us…In God we trust! In God we trust, and in God we will make our boast all day long However, forever, we'll praise You, Oh Lord, with our heart and song. And it's not by the sword that we'll win the land… And it's not strong arms that make us stand… Your right hand gives us the land! And your strong arm keeps us from harm! And the light of your face and your life-giving grace. For you love us Yes! You love us…In God we trust! © 1996 Judy Rogers

Wisdom's House By wisdom a house is built, and it will bring much pleasure, If love for God fills every room like rare and beautiful treasure. Now God says He'll destroy the house of wicked men, But He will bless and keep the house of those who honor Him. The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish woman tears hers down; Oh, honor God within your house and peace and joy will be found! There was a wicked man, who built his house on sand, And when the rains came pouring down, it crumbled to the ground. Another man was wise, and built upon the rock, And his house still stood safe and warm when all the storm had stopped. Oh, Jesus is our Rock, so build your house in Him, And He will keep you through the storms of sorrow and of sin. And He will keep you through the storms of sorrow and of sin. © 1996 Judy Rogers

The Leech's Daughters The leech has two daughters, give, give, They live in slimy water, live, live. They want everything that their greedy eyes can see. They cry "Daddy, give it to me, me, ME!!" Give me this! I want that! I am going to scream and cry If I can't have my way, I think I will lay right down and DIE!!! These two selfish sisters, give, give, Only know the greedy way to live, live. They say, "It s more blessed to give then to receive… As long as you're giving to me, me ME!!!" Give me this! I want that! I am going to scream and cry If I can't have my way, I think I will lay right down and DIE!!! So don't be like the leech sisters, give, give, Who only know the stingy way to live, live. They never think of others, they're selfish as can be. They fight and they argue, "Give that thing to me!" "No, me!" "NO, ME!!!" Give me this! I want that! I am going to scream and cry If I can't have my way, I think I will lay right down and DIE!!! © 1996 Judy Rogers

So that you may become pure and blameless children of God In a crooked and perverse generation! Chorus: Do all things…. Bridge: For you shine like stars, As you hold fast the Word of Life, You shine like stars!!! In a crooked and perverse generation! Do all things, Do all things Without grumbling and complaining. Without grumbling and complaining. Do all things, Do all things, Without grumbling and complaining. © 1996 Judy Rogers

05. Hallelujah! Praise Jehovah! Hallelujah! Praise Jehovah! O my soul Jehovah praise! I will sing the glorious praises of my God through all my days! Put no confidence in princes, nor for help on man depend; He will die to dust returning, and his purposes shall end. Happy is the man that chooses Israel's God to be his aid; He is blessed whose hope of blessing on the Lord his God is stayed! Heaven and earth the Lord created, seas and all that they contain; He delivers from oppression, righteousness he will maintain! Food He daily gives the hungry, sets the morning prisoner free! Raises those bowed down with anguish, makes the sightless eyes to see! Well Jehovah loves the righteous, and the stranger He befriends; Helps the fatherless and widow, judgment on the wicked sends! Hallelujah! Praise Jehovah! O my soul Jehovah praise! I will sing the glorious praises of my God through all my days! Over all God reigns forever, through all ages He is King; Unto Him, thy God, O Zion, joyful hallelujahs sing! ~Isaac Watts

The Fear of the Lord If you rebuke a fool he will only laugh at you, If you correct a mocker he will hate you. But a wise man takes to heart the instruction you impart, He will love and he will be wiser still. For the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And knowledge of the Holy One will give you understanding. For the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And blessed is the man who walks in Wisdom's Way! Now, we all need to understand what it means to fear the Lord. It's hating every evil thing and loving to obey our King! But, if you rebuke a fool he will only laugh at you, "HA!" You correct a mocker and he will hate you. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And knowledge of the Holy One will give you understanding. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And blessed is the man who walks in Wisdom's Way! © 1996 Judy Rogers

Guard Your Heart More than anything, more than anything, guard your heart! That's where all your thoughts…every word, every feeling starts. There's a treasure of wisdom in God's Word for your soul; Hold it in your heart, it is worth more than purest gold! More than anything, more than anything, guard your heart! Keep remembering…that's where every thought always starts. Ask the Father to help you keep your heart pure and clean. His wisdom can help you ruin Satan's schemes! Keep your eyes straight ahead, you must follow the Light. Make good paths for your feet…don't turn to the left, Don't turn around, don't turn to the right. When you walk, don't be afraid…wisdom will guide you. You will not stumble and fall, He'll be right beside you. More than anything, more than anything, guard your heart! Keep remembering…that's where every thought always starts. Let the treasure of wisdom in your heart, fill your head; If you think His thoughts, you'll begin walking in His steps…no regrets, no regrets, no regrets! © 1996 Judy Rogers
