Give ear to my prayer, oh Lord my God,
Listen to my cry for help.
In the morning, Lord, You hear my voice;
I will wait in expectation for You.
You are not a god who takes pleasure in evil;
With You the wicked cannot dwell.
The arrogant cannot stand in your presence;
You hate all of those who do wrong.

But I, by your great mercy, oh Lord,
Will come into Your house.
In reverence, Lord, will I bow down;
Toward Your holy temple bow down.

Lead me, oh Lord, in your righteous;
Because of all my enemies, lead me.
Make straight Your way before me;
Lead me in Your righteousness, lead me.

Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;
Their heart is filled with destruction.
Their throat is an open grave, with their tongue they speak deceit.
Oh God, declare them guilty;
Let their intrigues be their downfall.
Banish them for their many sins, for against you they rebel.

Let all who take refuge in You be glad;
Let them ever sing for joy.
Spread Your protection over them;

For surely, oh Lord, the righteous You bless;
You surround them with Your favor as a shield.
